CAR RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

(Rules & Regulations for Self-Drive Rental)

This document outlines the rules and regulations governing the rental of vehicles from RentCarNepal. By renting a vehicle, the customer (“Renter”) agrees to comply with all terms stated below.

1. ELIGIBILITY

  • Renter must hold a valid driving license (minimum 2 years old)
  • Must provide valid ID (Citizenship/Passport)
  • Must meet minimum age requirement (e.g., 21+ years)

2. VEHICLE USAGE RULES

The renter agrees to:

  • Drive responsibly and follow all traffic laws
  • Use the vehicle only for personal/legal purposes
  • Not allow any unauthorized person to drive
  • Not use the vehicle for racing, off-roading, towing, or illegal activities

3. VEHICLE CONDITION & RETURN

  • Vehicle must be returned in same condition as delivered
  • Any damage, missing parts, or negligence will be charged
  • Late return will result in additional rental charges

4. CLEANLINESS POLICY 🧼

  • Vehicle must be returned clean and in proper condition
  • Excessive dirt, stains, or odor will result in cleaning charges/fine

5. INSURANCE & LIABILITY ⚠️

  • The vehicle is insured, but coverage is limited
  • The renter is responsible for:
    • All damages not covered by insurance
    • Insurance deductible (if applicable)
  • Insurance is void if:
    • Driving under alcohol/drugs
    • Reckless/negligent driving
    • Unauthorized driver involved

6. DAMAGE & REPAIR RESPONSIBILITY 🔧

  • Renter is liable for full repair cost if damage occurs
  • Renter must also pay for:
    • Loss of income (days vehicle is unavailable due to repair)
  • Repairs must be done at authorized workshops only

7. FUEL POLICY

  • Vehicle must be returned with same fuel level
  • Any shortage will be charged with additional service fees

8. BREAKDOWN / ACCIDENT

  • Renter must inform the company immediately
  • Unauthorized repairs are not allowed
  • All accidents must be reported with proper documentation

9. FINES & LEGAL LIABILITY 🚦

  • Renter is responsible for all:
    • Traffic violations
    • Parking fines
    • Government penalties

10. SECURITY DEPOSIT

  • Deposit will be refunded after inspection
  • Deductions may apply for:
    • Damage
    • Cleaning
    • Late return
    • Fuel difference

11. RESTRICTED USE

The renter MUST NOT:

  • Drive under influence (alcohol/drugs)
  • Use vehicle outside permitted area (if restricted)
  • Overload passengers or cargo
  • Sublease or transfer the vehicle

12. TERMINATION RIGHTS

The company may terminate rental immediately if:

  • Terms are violated
  • Vehicle is misused
  • False information is provided

No refund will be issued in such cases.

13. AGREEMENT ACCEPTANCE

By renting the vehicle, the renter confirms that:

  • All provided information is true
  • All terms and conditions are understood and accepted
